The Detroit News is reporting that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a new executive order that closes hair, nail, and tanning salons, traditional spas, as well as tattoo shops across the state to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The new order also extends the current closures of bars, restaurants, theaters and fitness centers to April 13. The original order signed by Whitmer last Monday originally ordered those facilities to close until March 30.

The new order signed by the governor specifies that all non-essential personal care services must remain closed until mid-April.
