In the past few years in the NFL there have been three great receivers. All of these men have now been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. They are Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Calvin Johnson.

Randy Moss was just a great receiver out of Marshall University. Moss was drafted in Round 1, Pick 21. The Detroit Lions passed on him in 1998. Moss played for the Vikings twice, Raiders, Patriots, Titans and 49ers. He was the NFL rookie of the year in 1998, NFL Comeback Player of the year 2007, 6x Pro Bowl, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. He owns two NFL records: 23 receiving touchdowns in a season and 17 receiving touchdowns in a rookie season. Randy Moss was just a great player.

Then there was Terrell Owens. He was drafted in 1996 in Round 3 by the 49ers. He also played for the Eagles, Cowboys, Bills, Bengals and Seahawks. Owens was a 5x First-Team All-Pro, 6x Pro Bowler and caught 153 touchdowns. He was a great player out of Chattanooga University.

Last but not least there is Calvin Johnson out of Georgia Tech. Nicknamed “Megatron” he played his entire career with the hapless Detroit Lions. Johnson, a 3x First-team All-Pro, 6x Pro Bowler, 1,964 receiving yards in a season and 83 touchdowns. His records are outstanding and he was a great player for rotten teams. The Lions have treated this guy unfairly, to say the least.

So, if I have to pick one of these three great flankers, I would select Randy Moss. I saw Moss play in person when Marshall played CMU in Mt. Pleasant. I was sold then. They are all great, that’s why they're in Canton, but I choose Moss. Who do you choose?
