Last week in a Friday night college football contest between Arizona State and the University of New Mexico, Sparky, the ASU mascot, got a little too excited with a notable figure on the sidelines.

David Schapira, a Tempe city councilman, was carted off the sidelines after the mascot jumped on his back and tore a back muscle. The university has since apologized to the councilman and has offered to help with his medical expenses regarding the incident.

Here's Schapira's take on the whole thing, frame by frame from his twitter.

Just the latest entry into the mascots behaving badly file.
