What Would Your Walk-Up Song Be?

Baseball is noted as the American pastime. Everything about the game has a lot to do with tradition. That’s why I have always gravitated to the grand old game of baseball. Like I said in my article yesterday, baseball has a lot of unwritten rules. But that’s just part of the game.

One tradition in all of baseball that I love is the ballplayer's walk-up song. This is probably strange to fans that don’t know what I’m talking about.

This is the deal. The player can choose what song they like or fits their personality. This can be primarily in college, minor league, or Major League Baseball, but if high school or youth baseball has a sound system at their ballpark, they also can do it.

Now, I’m asking what would your walk-up song be? It usually is entertaining but can be quirky. My walk-up song would be Street Fighting Man by the Rolling Stones. It just fits my personality and it would get me jacked up to be aggressive at the plate.

Baseball is a great and entertaining game. The walk up song is perfect for the player. I believe it’s the only sport where there is a walk-up song or a song designed for the players. Sports are great for the entertainment value, but when you add a touch of specialty marketing, it makes it even more entertaining. Sports are great for that reason from a marketing standpoint.
