What Do You Know, the Lions Got a Win!
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
The Detroit Lions defeated the Arizona Cardinals yesterday in the valley of sun. Head Coach Matt Patricia is still on the hot seat. Either they get better and win, or he will be out of a job.
This was the Lions' third game of this pandemic era. They lost their first game because they couldn’t close it out. In their second game, they just fell apart after the first quarter and couldn't recover. With their win on Sunday, the Lions' record is now 1-2.
Matt Prater, who in his own right is a great kicker for the Lions, made a 37 yard field goal with time running out to beat the Cards 26-23. I still can’t believe they cut the cake and won as an underdog on the road. That win ended an 11-game losing streak.
Everyone knows that the G.M. Bob Quinn and Head Coach Matt Patricia are on a short leash with both of their jobs. Next week the Lions will host Drew Brees and the Nola Saints at Ford Field. Of course, there is no in-person attendance. The game will start at 1PM toe to leather.
All you can say is a win is a win. I really didn’t think they would be able to get the job done. But they're the Lions. They are supposed to do the opposite of what you'd think.
