When I lost Cj I was numb. I couldn't believe it. I told myself "he's just late in calling me, but he's still here" I couldn't wrap my head around the concept of his death. Then a little later a fascination took hold of me. I wanted to see dead bodies. So I bought a tasteful book of people in their coffins, deathbeds, and people mourning and I finally had the breakthrough I was looking for. I cried and cried. Finally alone with this book I felt that connection in my brain take hold. He was really gone and he wasn't coming home for Christmas or going to call me and tell me what's been going on.
I worried at first what people would think. Dead bodies? And then other things began to fascinate me. Skulls, mortuary and medical equipment, autopsy saws, wet specimen Ed, bones of all sorts, the weird and Weird and Wonderful. So I started collecting stuff until I nearly put myself into debt lol. I guess the natural progression is if you want more you have to get rid of some stuff. So started BonedAppetite. It takes a lot of my time but I find it cathartic. I NEED this.
You will notice in my posts and ads there are a lot of misspellings and typos. I'm old, 42, and I hate technology. If Cj was here he would do the tech stuff for me. My daughter Al if we were close would do the proofreading. But thank you to my daughter Nadia who gives me ideas like selling my socks from the insane asylum stays. Yes I've been there many times. I'm bipolor and so was CJ. A lot of addicts are. But I thought going there was over because my meds were working until that fateful day that fentanyl changed our lives forever.
Anyone who tells you there's no place for oddities is wrong because withought them I never would have gotten out. They helped me connect to my son. And that's very meaningful.
