Waverly Grappler Wins H.S. Student-Athlete Of The Week
Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission presents the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And this week's honoree is Cayden Bell, a senior on the Waverly HS wrestling team.

Cayden won the 215 lb. weight class at the Jim Mooney Classic at Williamston HS last week. He took the title with a technical fall victory over Olivet's Joe LaSalle in the final match.
His record is 27-1 this season, with his only loss to the top wrestler in the state at the super heavyweight division (285 lbs). All but one of his wins this season are by pin or technical fall.
Cayden is a three-year varsity captain, and has been a state qualifier twice in Division 2. He finished 4th in the state last year and is looking for better this winter.
He has 134 career wins and has a shot to break the school's wins record before he is done. And he represented Michigan at the Junior National Freestyle Championships last year in Fargo, North Dakota.
He also is a three-year varsity captain on the school's football team and he hopes to play football and wrestle at the collegiate level.
You can nominate a High School Student-Athlete by going to the Lansing Sports Network app.
Congratulations to Waverly senior wrestler Cayden Bell. He's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And it's brought to you every week by the Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission.
