United States Women’s World Cup Roster Announced For This Summer

After the men didn't qualify for their World Cup last year, the United States Women are ready to defend their title from 2015 this summer. 

According to ESPN,  Alex Morgan and Carli Lloyd lead the roster for this World Cup.  23 players are on the team with 12 players returning from the championship winning team from 2015.

The United States Women competed in the 2016 Olympics where they were eliminated by Sweden in the Quarterfinals.

They should be one of the top teams competing for the cup in France.

Sweden will be one of the teams in Group F with the United States.  The other two teams are Thailand and Chili.

The United States will play Thailand in group play on June 11th in Reims, France.   The Women's World Cup will begin on June 7th with France against South Korea.
