On Friday morning, University of Michigan president Mark Schlissel named University of Connecticut athletic director Warde Manuel as the school's AD at a press conference in Ann Arbor.

Manuel is a former Michigan football player who played under former coach Bo Schembechler, he was teammates with head football coach Jim Harbaugh in the 1980's.

Warde had previously been the AD at the University of Buffalo before heading to UCONN.
