Michigan State cornerback Tyson Smith missed three games to end the season last year with an "undisclosed injury".

Fast forward to today on twitter and Smith revealed the reason why he missed those games.

According to Smith, he suffered a stroke sometime last year. Michigan State did not list his specific injury in their team notes, only that the injury was undisclosed.

Smith, who turns 20 today, was one of 13 players listed as starters to open the 2016 season that missed time due to injury. Michigan State did not confirm the news to the Detroit Free Press.
