Don't expect to take a leisurely stroll out to the lighthouse in Menominee on the southern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula anytime soon. Back to back storms, about a week apart drove rocks and debris onshore from Green Bay blocking access to the pier and lighthouse.

The first storm struck the weekend before Memorial Day 2019 and deposited tons of rocks and trees on the parking lot and walkway leading to the pier. Video was captured by Best Aerial Images & More - located in the twin city of Marinette, Wisconsin.

This is very sad to see this amount of damage and erosion from the storm 😌

On Memorial Day Weekend, another storm sent more water ashore, but spared the city from another round of clean-up from debris.

Second Nor Easter in just over a week. Luckily not as much damage from this storm. Most of the narration is drown out by the wind! And no I didn't drive on the closed road, walked out just like last week!

To visit in better weather, the lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Menominee River just north of the Wisconsin border inside Ann Arbor Park.
