Traverse City And Red Wings To Host 2019 NHL Prospect Tournament

NHL prospects will head to Traverse City in September as the Red Wings host the 2019 NHL Prospect Tournament. 

According to the Red Wings, the annual tournament will be at  Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City, September 6th through September 10th.

This year the tournament will feature the top prospects from 8 NHL teams.  The field this year includes, Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, New York Rangers, St. Louis and Toronto.

The tournament will feature the teams in two four team divisions in a round robin format.  It will feature a crossover on the final day.   The top two teams will play in the final on September 10th.

Columbus beat the Red Wings last year for the title.

Tickets for the prospect tournament will go on sale on Tuesday, July 16th at 10 a.m.  They are available at the Centre Ice website and on a first come, first serve basis at the arena on the days of the event.
