Cassius Winston, a blue chip and consensus top-30 national recruit has made his decision on Friday as to where he will continue his basketball career, he'll be a Spartan.

Various outlets are reporting live from U-D Jesuit High School as the six foot senior verbally committed to the Green and White.

Winston said:  "This is a dream come true... It's been a long journey... I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me."

Last season Winston averaged 24.1 points, 7.1 assists and 5.2 rebounds for the U-D Jesuit Cubs in his junior year.

His high school coach Pat Donnelly had plenty of good things to say about his star player: "I don’t think I’ve seen a high school player that’s a better passer, in my era, than Cassius is. I think he’s going to be a great distributor, a great floor general and he’s also adding some scoring punch. He’s developing his jump shot more, he can score off the dribble. He’s a great free throw shooter."

Michigan State now jumps to the top of the 2016 recruiting ranking with this commit according to 247Sports. It's their third commit in this 2016 class, alongside Joshua Langford from Maidson, Alabama, and Nick Ward from Columbus, Ohio.
