Vaccinated? Not Vaccinated? Still so many people holding out from being vaccinated for COVID19, and I don't know why. Seriously folks, it's your and your loved ones health in your hands. Get vaccinated! Right Tom Izzo?

Absolutely! Tom Izzo's entire Michigan State team has the COVID-19 vaccine. He wants everyone to get it.

Izzo said, “I am encouraging, pleading, and begging people to get vaccinated. Please listen to the best medical people, not the social media experts that are putting garbage out there."

As MSU begins pre-season practice, yahoo reported that the Detroit Free Press wrote    "Every single one of them," Izzo said of his players and staff. "And I say that with great pride, not with arm-twisting."

Last year, as the Free Press reported, the team finished 15-13 and 9-11 in the Big Ten, and endured COVID-19 issues in January that basically shut down the program for three weeks. The Spartans recovered to make Izzo's 23rd straight NCAA tournament appearance before falling to eventual Final Four participant UCLA in the First Four. They then lost three players — guards Foster Loyer (Davidson) and Rocket Watts (Mississippi State) and forward Thomas Kithier (Valparaiso) — to the transfer portal.

What about this year? Being fully vaccinated certainly helps. But, what about the players? ESPN reported that Northeastern transfer Tyson Walker, one of the best mid-major guards in the country, is a huge gain for the Spartans.

Walker chose the Spartans from a final five that included Kansas, Maryland, Miami and Vanderbilt.

"They've been talking to me since I went into the portal," Walker told ESPN about Michigan State. "They talk to me about every day. Just what they have and what they need. They're ready to win a championship. I'm the missing piece.

Let's hope so. Stay healthy Spartans!
