To Be or Not To Be – That is the Question About Vaccinations in Sports
The new focus in the sporting world now that we could be on the other side of Covid is who is vaccinated and who isn’t. This is a huge deal in all facets of the sports world.
The NFL and college football is starting up. Some players and coaches are still not getting vaccinated. That is their choice but teams and employers think differently. The MLB Network has either suspended or dismissed John Smoltz and Al Leiter because they will not get vaccinated.
Now, I got the Moderna shot because I felt it was the best thing to do for myself, my family and co-workers. But, I respect people’s decision’s to abstain from the Coronavirus shot.
The NFL got down to their final cuts this week and some cuts could have been applied to players who wouldn’t get vaccinated. The Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins won’t get the shot and people are calling him less of a leader. This is ridiculous.
People have to adhere to rules but this isn’t mandated yet. But, again I understand where there is a large group of people the safer way would be to get vaccinated. More, stories will come out like the ones I have told.
But, will lawsuits come out of these situations? I sure hope not. Where are the pure privacy acts? I don’t know? But, the question is still out there. To be vaccinated or not to be vaccinated? Will see how this plays out. What do you think?
