The Tennessee Titans have fired their head coach Ken Whisenhunt after less than two seasons at the helm.  He is being replaced on an interim basis by assistant Mike Mularkey.

Whisenhunt was the former head coach for the Arizona Cardinals, leading them to the Super Bowl after the 2008 season, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Titans are an AFC-worst 1-6, they'll take on the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
