Tigers Sweep The Red Sox, 6-2
The Detroit Tigers (27-12) swept the Boston Red Sox (20-23) in Boston tonight, 6-2. Boston would get on the board first after a soft line drive hit by Xander Bogaerts brought home Grady Sizemore. Miguel Cabrera would respond in the 3rd after a soft line drive scored Ian Kinsler and a 2 run homer hit by Victor Martinez to allow Detroit to take the lead. In the 5th Cabrera would hit a sacrifice fly to score another run from Kinsler. In the bottom of the 5th a throwing error from Don Kelly scored Dustin Pedoria. In the 6th, Alex Avila hit a line drive single to score Austin Jackson. And Torii Hunter finished the scoring for the Tigers after hitting a one run homer.
