The Detroit Tigers (63-50) stole a win against the Toronto Blue Jays (61-56) tonight, 5-4. The Blue Jays got on the board in the 1st after Danny Valencia hit a line drive single, bringing home Jose Bautista. In the 2nd, Ryan Goins hit a bunt single for a suicide squeeze to score Munenori Kawasaki. Melky Cabrera hit a ground single, bringing in a run from Ryan Goins. Bautista scored Jose Reyes after hitting a line drive single. The Tigers got a couple runs in the 3rd after Ian Kinsler hit a sharp ground single, bringing home Eugenio Suarez and Rajai Davis. The Tigers were down, but not out in the 9th after Nick Castellanos hit a 2 run homer for the tie. But that wasn't it, Suarez took the plate and hit a homer to take the lead. That was enough to clench the win. The Tigers take on the Blue Jays again tomorrow, pregame coverage begins at 12:40 PM on Lansing's Big Talker, WJIM 1240 AM.
