Francisco Rodriguez is on his way to Lakeland, a week into Tigers spring training.

The prized relief pitcher the Tigers acquired in a trade with Milwaukee was late to spring training due to a visa issue that prevented him from entering the United States.

Rodriguez posted a 2.21 ERA, 0.86 WHIP (walks + hits per inning) and recorded 38 saves last year with the Brewers.

Speaking with the Detroit Free Press, Manager Brad Ausmus said: "He just needs to be in here in time to be ready. I’m assuming it will get taken care of sooner than later.” in regards to if Rodriguez's absence would be an issue for him or any other aspect of the team.
