Tigers pummel Indians, 12-1

The Tigers (75-62) came alive in their first of 4 games against the Cleveland Indians (70-65) tonight, 12-1. The Tigers didn't waste time getting things started in the 1st with a huge Miguel Cabrera 2 run homer. Cleveland got a run in the 1st with Carlos Santana fly double to score Michael Brantley. In the 3rd Victor Martinez hit a homer, and J.D. Martinez took the plate right after and hit a homer as well. In the 7th the Tigers kept bringing the hurt starting with an Alex Avila line drive single to score Miggy. Eugenio Suarez scored Victor Martinez with a line drive single. The Night wasn't over for Miggy, he hit a second homer in the 8th. Avila hit a ground single to score Don Kelly. The icing on the cake was in the 9th inning when rookie Tyler Collins hit his first MLB career home run, scoring 3 runs.  Round 2 of this 4 game series starts tomorrow night, pregame coverage starts at 6:40 PM on Lansing's Big Talker, 1240 AM WJIM.
