Tigers Player, Staffer Test Positive For COVID-19
Detroit Tigers general manager Al Avila announced on Wednesday that a player and staffer have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Avila did not name the staff member or player infected this morning. It is not known if either of them still have the virus.
The Tigers are set to start training for the abridged 2020 season next week. Avila also said on Wednesday that the team would conduct workouts at Comerica Park in Detroit, and not at their spring training complex in Lakeland, Florida.
