The Detroit Tigers showed the Kansas City Royals no mercy tonight, beating them 10-1. The Tigers started their domination in the 1st inning after an RBI double off the bat of Miguel Cabrera, bringing home Ian Kinsler. Victor Martinez brought Miggy home with an RBI Grounder. Eugenio Suarez took the plate, hitting a line drive RBI single to give Detroit a 3-0 lead in the 1st. Torii Hunter added onto that lead in the second, with an RBI double, bringing in a run from Rajai Davis. In the 4th, a ground double off the bat of Kinsler got a run from James McCann. Detroit kept it going in the 5th, starting with an RBI single from Nick Castellanos. Suarez hit a line drive single, allowing J.D. Martinez to score. McCann grounded for a force out, which scored a run. The icing on the cake was a 2 run homer off the bat of Ian Kinsler. The Royals scored their first run in the bottom of the 8th after a sacrifice fly from Jayson Nix brought in Johnny Giavotella.
