The Detroit Tigers announced on Wednesday a few roster moves in light of recent injuries.

Here's the announcement via Tigers PR:

Greiner hurt his hamstring in Tuesday night's 8-7 victory over Kansas City and was removed from the game.  With starting catcher Wilson Ramos already on IL with an injury (eligible to come back next Monday) and Jake Rogers already on the Major League club, the two catchers on Toledo's Opening Day roster are now in Detroit.

Since Eric Haase (pictured) was not on the 40-Man roster, the team put oft-injured pitcher Franklin Perez on waivers.  That move takes Perez off the 40-Man roster.

Haase, who is 28 years old, played in seven games for the Tigers last season.  He hit .176 in 19 plate appearances.

Detroit is 11-24 entering Wednesday night's game against the Royals.  You can hear the game (and almost all Tigers games) on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
