The Detroit Tigers snapped a four game losing streak with a 7-2 win over the Texas Rangers Friday night at Comerica Park. Home runs by Austin Jackson and Andrew Romine, the first of his career, and three doubles by Ian Kinsler provided the punch for Detroit (28-16) while Anibal Sanchez pitched seven strong innings for his first win of the year (1-2). Texas (23-25) opened the scoring in the top of the first with a two run double by MItch Moreland but that is all they would get. Scott Baker (0-1) took the loss for the Rangers. The two teams continue their series Saturday afternoon. Rick Porcello (7-1) takes the mound for Detroit while Nick Martinez (0-1) goes for the Rangers.
