The Detroit Tigers (54-41) refused to let the Cleveland Indians (50-48) make the sweep today at Comerica Park, winning 5-1. Ian Kinsler started the action today in the 1st after a ground single scored a run from Austin Jackson. Victor Martinez took the plate and hit a sacrifice fly to score Kinsler. In the 4th, Torii Hunter hit a 2 run homer to give the Tigers a 4 run lead. It wasn't until the 7th when the Indians got on the board after Yan Gomes hit a single run homer. In the 8th, Nick Castellanos got a hold of fly double to bring Hunter home. Joe Nathan took the mound in the 9th to get the job done.  The Tigers go to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks tomorrow, game broadcast starts at 9:15 PM On Lansing's big talker, 1240 AM, WJIM.
