This Tiger is on the Shelf for Some Time but Don’t Ever Count Him Out

Eldrick "Tiger" Wood, knows that father time is starting to creep up on him.

Woods will miss the Masters in Augusta, Georgia for the first time in his great pro career. This cat has suffered through severe back spasms for sometime. Now he has to have surgery.

Tiger Woods suffered from a pinched nerve. He had an operation on Monday. Tiger said in a statement he hopes to return to action sometime this summer, but there will be no timetable for his return.

Woods' goal is to surpass Jack Nicklaus's 18 major victories. Tiger Woods hasn't won a major since 2008. This is another setback for Tiger, who has had many in the past few years, including neck problems, knee problems, Achilles problem, and a very public failed marriage.

Tiger Woods is the largest person on the pro golf tour--he has been for years. Woods is the draw for huge galleries. But when he isn't playing the gate television ratings are down. This upcoming Masters will be the fifth major he has missed since all his injuries.

Tiger Woods will be missed big time at this years Masters. The 38-year-old won his last major at Torrey Pines in sudden death against Rocco Mediate in 2008.

I know one thing: If Woods isn't playing, a majority of the people don't really care who dons this year's green jacket.
