We've seen some pretty cool things happen to some past Lansing Lugnuts. Some make it to the major leagues, such as Vlad Guerrero Jr. But, why stick to the normalcy of baseball?

One former Lugnut is currently, a successful sculpture, and even on a reality-TV show as a contestant, according to LSJ.

Blake McFarland is the name of this past 2012 Lansing Lugnut. McFarland is now 33 with a sculpture on multiple college campuses, one of which is Western Michigan University.

You can see a picture of one of McFarland's past sculptures below, called 'World at War.'

McFarland will be on the NBC TV show called, "Making It." The new season starts on June 24th at 8 pm.

Drafted out of San Jose State, the 6-foot-5 pitcher had some success with the Lansing Lugnuts. McFarland emerged as a top reliever later on in his career. But, unfortunately had an arm injury, which caused him to retire from baseball after nearly two years of rehab.

During his off time, McFarland spent his time working on sculptures from tires. Goodyear Tires actually heard about this and asked him to create a sculpture of each team's mascot.

The show, "Making It," has been on the air for roughly 18 months after COVID hit, but will make its debut again this Thursday.
