The Spirit of Detroit Is Clad in MSU Green and White

The bronze statue known as "The Spirit of Detroit" that has been stationed in downtown Detroit since 1958 has a Green and White feel to it.

The Spirit had an oversized Michigan State football jersey put on him on Monday morning.  This is to support the Spartans in the College Football Playoff semifinal next week against Alabama.

The 26 foot high statue gets adorned with Red Wings, Tigers, and Pistons jerseys during their playoff runs.  This is the first time that the Spirit is wearing an MSU jersey.
