The documentary, "The Russian Five" is a great film that all Red Wings fans should see.  If you missed it on the big screen it will be shown in Detroit on August 22nd.

According to The Detroit Free Press, the film will be shown outdoors for free on Thursday, August 22nd at Campus Martius Park in Downtown Detroit.  The park shows films on a regular basis during the summer months.

'The Russian Five' documentary highlights the journey of the Detroit Red Wings Russian players   and their Stanley Cup championships from 1997 and 1998. The screening will also feature an introduction by former player Darren McCarty, who is featured throughout the film.

The DVD of the film, poster and other merchandise from the film will be on sale at the screening.  If you go you can bring chairs and blankets for use.   Snacks and non alcoholic beverages will also be allowed.    The lawn can fill up so it is suggested  to arrive early.
