The Detroit Tigers (28-17) lost to the Texas Rangers (24-25) today at Comerica Park, 12-2. The Tigers would get on the board first in the 3rd inning after Rajai Davis hit a ground ball double to bring home Andrew Romine. The Rangers would respond in turn in the 4th when Chris Gimenez hit a line drive double to score Adrian Beltre. Leonys Martin brought home Gimenez with a ground ball single. A line drive triple from Rougned Odor scored Martin and Donnie Murphy. Murphy would go on to hit a 2 run homer in the 6th, and a fly ball double from Mitch Moreland brought home Elvis Andrus. Odor would go on to hit another line drive triple in the 8th, bringing home Martin, Murphy, and Alex Rios. Michael Choice would hit a fly double in the 9th to bring home Odor to bring their run total to 12. In the bottom of the 9th, Ian Kinsler hit a ground single to score a run from Rajai Davis. The Tigers will play the Rangers again tomorrow night, game broadcast begins at 12:40 on Lansing's Big Talker, WJIM AM, 1240 AM.
