The City of Lansing is opening a new outdoor ice-skating rink in Lansing. The rink opens at 6pm today—Thursday, January 10th. According to a post on their Facebook page, the new ice-skating rink will be located at Washington Park which is located at 2516 South Washington Avenue. Here's their description of the new ice-skating rink:

The ice-skating rink is an open-air area with boards, that will be flooded and can be used to skate on when the weather is cold enough to turn the water to ice. The ice-skating rink will not have skate rentals nor concessions, and will simply be an open contained area where people can come to ice skate. The rink will be lit and have restrooms open until 10PM daily, weather permitting.

According to their press release, the outdoor ice-skating rink at Washington Park will be 55 feet by 90 feet. Admission to the ice-skating rink is free and participants must bring their own skates.
