In three months, college football will be in full swing. That means tailgating will be upon us too. There is nothing like seeing parking lots, fields and front yards with fans getting jacked up for a game.

Tailgating is spread far and wide around the country. In some college towns and universities, tailgating is almost a religion. Last year, college football was all screwed up with the pandemic, COVID pauses, and game cancellations.

This year with vaccinations spread all over, this will be a different situation. Last season most fans couldn’t go to games or even beer gardens to watch ball games. It was a mess. But this year most stadiums will be at full capacity.

That also means tailgating will be in full swing. I am on the Tailgate Shows with Tim Staudt and they're hilarious. It's cool to see people in parking lots having a great time and letting loose. It’s like food porn city with people grilling great food and bringing great foods from home.

Then there are the ultimate professional tailgaters with satellite dishes, full bars, RVs and just a lot of intense people having a great time. The football game is most times secondary.

If you have never been to an organized tailgate party, you haven’t lived yet. College football is just three months away, so get ready to roll. There is nothing better than tailgate parties around the country!

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
