St. Johns Cross Country Runner Wins HS Student-Athlete Of The Week
Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission present the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
This week's honoree is Ava Schafer, a sophomore on the St. Johns HS girls cross country team.

Ava won the Greater Lansing Cross Country championship last Saturday at Ledge Meadows Golf Course in Grand Ledge for the second year in a row with a time of 17:32.4.
She is undefeated this season as a sophomore and hopes to lead her team to greater glory in the regionals coming up, and is a serious threat to win an individual state title next month at the state finals at Michigan International Speedway.
Ava is an outstanding student, carrying a 3.9 grade point average. She is a two-sport athlete, participating on the track team in the spring. She runs in the 1,600 & 3,200 meter runs as well as a member of the 3,200 meter relay team (4 x 800 meters).
Congratulations to St. Johns sophomore Ava Schafer of the girls cross-country team. She's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And it's brought to you every week by the Lansing Sports Commission and by Dowding Industries.
