Aerial Powers scored a career high 32 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the 18th ranked Michigan State Spartans Women's basketball team closed out the Florida Sunshine Classic by beating #19 Syracuse 89-76 at Warden Arena in Orlando Sunday afternoon. Michigan State (8-3) closed out their non-conference schedule with their first win over a ranked team this season. In addition to Powers career high day, Tori Jankoska tied her career high with 25 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Becca Mills was the third Spartan in double figures with 19. Syracuse (8-3) also had three players in double figures led by Brianna Butler who scored 18.
