The MSU Spartan Hockey team lost the the Minutemen of UMASS at Munn Ice Arena tonight, 4-3. UMASS got on the board in the first period after a Steven Iacobellis goal. MSU scored a goal off the stick of Matt Berry to tie everything up. Jake Horton of the Minutemen took back the lead with a goal 2 and a half minutes left in the 1st period. Matt Berry wasn't done yet, scoring the lone goal of the 2nd period to re-tie the game. Seconds into the 3rd period, a Michael Farrentino goal gave the Spartans the lead. UMASS fought back, tying the game with Iacobellis scoring his second goal of the night. The final goal was scored by Patrick Lee with 10 seconds left on the clock.  Tune in on Friday the 24 when the Spartans go to Boston to take on the Boston College Eagles.
