Aerial Powers buried a career high seven three point baskets on her way to a career high 35 points but it wasn't enough as the 19th ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers rallied for a 71-67 win Thursday night at Breslin Center. The Spartans (8-7, 0-4 Big Ten) led 32-30 at the half but a 14-5 run by the Huskers gave them the lead until MSU answered with a 12-2 run fueled by three pointers by Powers and Tori Jankoska, part of MSU's season high 11 made triples. However, Nebraska scored the last nine points of the game to overtake the Spartans for the win. Michigan State had players in double figures led by Powers 35, Cara Miller added 12 points in he first start and Jankoska scored 11. Powers also grabbed 11 rebounds. Nebraska (11-3, 1-2) was led by Emily Cady who scored 16. Michigan State travels to Northwestern Sunday to face the Wildcats. Pregame coverage begins at 2:45pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM
