Media sources are telling Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania that the Detroit Pistons have traded backup center Willie Reed (who was brought to Detroit as part of the Blake Griffin trade) to the Chicago Bulls for point guard Jameer Nelson.

The Pistons have been without starting point guard Reggie Jackson due to an ankle injury, and they have gone with Ish Smith at the starting PG and former two-way player Dwight Buycks as his backup.

The Pistons have won five straight games since acquiring Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers more than a week ago, and are 27-26 on the season.

Charania also says the Bulls and Pistons will trade 2022 second-round draft choices.  Thursday at 3pm eastern time is the NBA's trade deadline.
