Should You Still Schedule An Appointment Before Heading To The SOS?
Walk-ins are most definitely a pre-covid era style of life, and something we may never truly see the likes of again.
Should I Schedule An Appointment Still When Heading To The Secretary Of State?
It's a valid question, especially if it is time to get your driver's license renewed or whatever tasks that the great people from the Michigan Secretary of State can help you with.
While walk-ins can be accepted at the Michigan Secretary of state offices, it is still better to schedule ahead, as that is the way a lot of Michiganders are headed.
"If someone walks up to an SOS branch office without an appointment, they will be seen right away if staff is available to serve them....If someone is not immediately available to serve the resident, then they will be served as soon as a staff member is, not after all appointments are through." Aneta Kiersnowski Crisp, the Press Secretary for Secratary of State Jocelyn Benson, told WJIM-AM.
What Are The Hours For The Secretary Of State?
If you can't do what you need online, as that is an option now, the SOS offices are open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, and then 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the other days during the week.
What Else Can I Do To Beat The Lines At The Secretary Of State Offices?
If you want to beat the lines, Meijer does offer a kiosk service, typically within the customer service area, where you can go through and update licenses and other smaller materials.
