Michigan State traveled for their first Big 10 road game and were routed by the Indiana Hoosiers 70-51 on New Year's Eve at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.  Michigan State (8-5, 0-2 Big 10) started off strong, opening the game on a 7-2 run but that would prove to be the highlight of the game as Indiana (11-2, 1-1) took advantage of an injury shortened, and later foul ridden Spartan bench and went on a 16-0 run to lead at the half 37-26, then opened the half on a 7-0 and that basically ended the night for MSU.  The Spartans were led in scoring by Aerial Powers who scored 21 pulled down 12 rebounds and Tori Jankoska who added 19. Indiana had three scorers in double figures led by Jenn Anderson who scored 19. Michigan State returns to action Sunday afternoon as they travel to Crisler Center to take on the arch-rival Wolverines. Pregame coverage begins at 1:45pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
