The Cleveland Indians were able to snap the Detroit Tigers five game win streak at Progressive Field with a 7-0 victory Wednesday nightDanny Salazar earned the win by pitching his first career complete game and striking out nine to even his record at 6-6. For the second straight game Carlos Santana staked Cleveland (71-66) to a 2-0 first inning lead with his second two run homer in as many nights. However unlike Tuesday night there was no coming back for Detroit (76-63) as the Indians extended their lead in the fourth with RBI from Lonnie Chisenhall and Yan Gomes. Cleveland then capped their scoring in the seventh with three more runs punctuated by Jose Ramirez' RBI double. Justin Verlander also evened his record with the loss at 12-12. The two teams conclude their four game series Thursday night with Max Scherzer (15-5) pitching for Detroit and going for his lead leading 16th win and Trevor Bauer (5-7) getting the start for Cleveland.
