Should college athletes be paid? It's a question that has become a hot button topic in recent years.

Of 24 different sports and numerous divisions in school size and gender among those sports that are sanctioned by the NCAA, only two are considered revenue generating; football and men's basketball.

The revenue they generate is enormous though. For example, the SEC brought in half a billion dollars over the last fiscal year according to Fox Sports. Yet, student-athletes receive none of that money, they are paid in a scholarship to their academic institution.

On Wednesday, Michigan State linebacker Riley Bullough made his thoughts known on this debate. However, he took a stance you might not expect.

Strong words from the Spartans linebacker.
