Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press reported today Michigan State University Trustee Mitch Lyons named Auston Robertson as the player who alerted Mark Dantonio to the alleged January sexual assault during a radio interview on Tuesday involving Josh King, Donnie Corley and Demetric Vance.

"In a Tuesday interview with WBBL-FM 107.3, Lyons confirmed that Robertson was the player who reported the January incident to Dantonio," Solari said.

Since news of the interview came out, the Detroit News' Matt Charboneau reported Lyons claims to have "misspoke". So far, with no denial from the university, Lyons' claims seem to overlap with the information contained in the Jones Day report released earlier this week.

faces charges for a sexual assault case. In April, Robertson was involved in an incident in which he allegedly sexually assaulted a girl after offering her a ride home. Robertson's case is expected to proceed according to schedule.

King, Corley and Vance were arraigned in East Lansing District Court earlier Tuesday.
