The New York Post is reporting that the 120th U.S. Open golf championship, set for June 18th-21st at Winged Foot GC in suburban New York City, will be postponed until a later date because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging the New York area.

This would be the third major golf tournament to be postponed due to the coronavirus.  The Masters and the PGA Championship were postponed earlier this month.

The United States Golf Association (USGA), which runs the U.S. Open, will reportedly make a decision as to whether to delay the Open sometime in April.  The USGA has already canceled local qualifying for this year's Open.
