Report: U-M QB Milton In Transfer Portal

ESPN's Tom VanHaaren is reporting that Michigan junior quarterback Joe Milton (pictured) is entering the transfer portal.

VanHaaren's tweet:

Milton beat out junior Dylan McCaffrey and freshman Cade McNamara for the starting QB job this past fall.  But he was benched due to ineffectiveness and then injury.  McCaffrey has since transferred, and McNamara is expected to be joined by highly touted true freshman J.J. McCarthy for the 2021 season.

Milton was a four-star recruit out of Orlando, Florida in 2017.  And he played only sparingly for the Wolverines in 2018 and 2019.
