ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with Pro Bowl kicker Matt Prater (pictured) to a 3-year contract worth around $11.5 million on Wednesday morning.

Prater would have become an unrestricted free agent after the 2017 season.  He has stabilized the kicking position after the retirement of Jason Hanson when he joined the team in 2014..

He holds the NFL record for the longest field goal made (64 yards) when he was with the Denver Broncos in 2013.
