The Detroit Red Wings stole home-ice advantage from the favored Tampa Bay Lightning with a thrilling 3-2 victory Thursday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Red Wings were outshot by the Lightning 46-14, but goalie Petr Mrazek (above) was stellar, stopping 44 Tamp Bay shots.

Pavel Datsyuk had a pair of goals, Luke Glendening scored the game-winner on a short-handed goal in the 3rd period.
