It was surprise to see Jimmy Howard get the All Star Selection for the Red Wings instead of Dylan Larkin.   Hopefully Dylan can still get in as he is one of the players up for the Last Men In.

According to the NHL, just like Major League Baseball the NHL is letting fans choose the final players added to the all star roster.

Fans will chose a player for each of the four divisions.    Dylan Larkin of the Red Wings is one of those up for the Atlantic Division.   It will be tough as he is up for the final spot with 7 other players including names like Patrice Bergeron, Jeff Skinner, Alexander Barkov and Shea Weber.

It would be great to see Dylan make it to the game in San Jose.   I would also love to see him make it so he can take part in the fastest skater competition.

He won the event a few years back and hasn't had the chance to defend it.   I think the fans would love to see him and recent winner Connor McDavid go at it.

To see it happen fans need to vote Dylan in and you can vote for him now through January 10th at 11:59 p.m.

To vote and for the voting rules you can click here.     The NHL All Star Game this year is in San Jose on Saturday, January 26th.
