The Detroit Red Wings will not have the services of alternate captain Niklas Kronwall for the time being.

The veteran defenseman had arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Tuesday.  Head Coach Jeff Blashill said that Kronwall could be out for 2-4 weeks.  He has been dealing with pain in his knee for most of the season.

The team also announced that forward and former Michigan Stater Drew Miller will be out for 4-6 months due to surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.  He has not played since January 10th.
