It was one of the best rivalries in all of sports in the '90s and 2000s, the Detroit Red Wings and the Colorado Avalanche, and nostalgic fans everywhere will get to see the rivalry on the ice one more time in late February as part of the NHL's Stadium Series.

The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday announced via team organizer, Kris Draper that Steve Yzerman and Darren McCarty have both agreed to play in the outdoor game.

McCarty's inclusion means fans will see the old "Grind Line" back at work as the previously mentioned Draper and current Red Wings scout Kirk Maltby are also on the Red Wings roster for this game.

Steve Yzerman, current General Manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning, playing in the game means both teams will have their primary captains during the peak of the rivalry playing. The Avalanche announced Joe Sakic would be playing a couple of weeks ago.

Draper also added that goaltender Ty Conklin will suit up for the Wings and that Sergei Fedorov "really wants to play" but duties involving his KHL Team, CSKA Moscow, could interfere.
