The two largest schools enrollment-wise in the Mid-Michigan area do battle tonight on the FieldTurf at Grand Ledge High School as the Holt Rams visit the Grand Ledge Comets.

Holt has won the two games in this series, including their 43-36 victory in the Division 1 playoffs two years ago.  The Rams won easily last season 34-6 in Week 9 last season.

And finally, this game is a "trophy" game.  These two teams play for the "Jack" Trophy.  It's the Jack Rarick Memorial Trophy, which is to honor former Grand Ledge and Holt assistant coach Jack Rarick, who passed away more than a year ago after a battle with cancer.

As for the game itself, Holt enters the game at 0-2 after losses to Caledonia and Mason.  Grand Ledge enters the game at 2-0 after victories over Coldwater and a thrilling 29-28 overtime victory over Jackson last Thursday.

Holt is led by senior quarterback Seneca Moore, who threw two touchdown passes last week against Mason.  Other prominent players for eighth-year head coach Chad Fulk include:  Isiah Foster, Charles Thompson, and Ryan Davis.

As for 2-0 Grand Ledge, starting QB Shawn Foster got injured during last week's game against Jackson.  But backup Mason Stocker took the reins and led the Comets to victory.  Stocker ran for two scores, and threw for two others.  And he completed the two-point pass to Jameson Patten in overtime that won the game.  Grand Ledge is coached by GL alum and fourth-year head coach Joe Brya.
